Moisture Control
Multiple spray headers deliver a uniform curtain of water near the mixer inlet, knocking down airborne dust as it enters the mixer and initiating the conditioning process. Water spray distribution is controlled through individual spray nozzle selections and through valving of individual spray header lines. Precise moisture control is achieved through pressure regulation, with a maximum required pressure of 30 psi. Depending on the physical nature of the ash, moisture requirements range from 8% to 30% by weight.
